SeminarsSeminars

Look inside the "other Buenos Aires" - the emerging economy in Argentina, social trends and movements, community centers and recovered businesses.

"Direct experience and participation. Conferences and lectures."

Focus: We plan activities for groups of students and professionals who wish to explore and get to know the other side to life in Argentina. With these activities you will understand the new economy and society that have emerged since the 2001 crisis. Today, Argentina as well as other Latin American countries are forming relationships and partnerships for work and mutual exchange of ideas.

Advantages: Through direct, hands-on experience you have the chance to meet the people participating in the various activities as well as the coordinators of the different projects. In addition, you will gain a better understanding of the new economy, social organizations and working in Argentina.

You will explore recovered businesses, their productivity and self-management by the workers themselves. Seeing and participating in the daily activities at the heart of each business gives you the opportunity to talk to the organizers and every individual that works there. A day spent experiencing the real lives of the workers gives you a new perception and understanding of the new Argentina and the new economy that has appeared in traditional market places.

General areas:

  • Operations and development of social organizations
  • Small productive businesses, co-operatives and recovered companies
  • Challenges in the market place, alternatives for sustainable growth
